My work is about pain, loss, the darkness that follows death, emptiness, the faint wisps of joy which hang on the horizon but are never there, and the path back to something akin to happiness. The beauty of nature and the place of humans within it often form the backdrop for this expression of pain. I have a predilection for those themes which represent the joyous days of my childhood. Streams, rivers and bodies of water hold a particular fascination as do small towns and the fading remnants of our civilization, so quickly reclaimed by the land.
I am represented by Cantrell Gallery in Little Rock.
